Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony and Variety Programme 2026
Garden High School IISER Kolkata Campus hosted its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony and Variety Programme (Session 2025-26) at Ritwik Sadan, Kalyani on Friday, 9 October 2026. The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was held to honour and felicitate the outstanding achievements of the students and to motivate others to aim for similar heights.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mrs. Mahua Dasgupta, Founder Member and Secretary of Garden High School, followed by an address by the Principal, Mrs. Ratna Biswas.
The cultural programme opened with a classical vocal medley by the school choir, featuring Raag Bhimpalasree and the Rabindra Sangeet ‘Bipulo Tarango Re’. This was followed by a welcome dance performance depicting the ‘Creation of Lord Ganesha’. Students also presented a witty Hindi play, ‘Chintu Ki Zid’, which cleverly delivered a vital message about protecting nature, through its light-hearted humour. The school choir and band invigorated the audience with a musical medley featuring ‘Die with a Smile’, ‘Unstoppable’, and ‘Amay Bhashaili Re’. The event concluded with a vibrant dance performance titled ‘Glimpses of the Four Corners of India’, celebrating the country’s rich cultural diversity through folk forms such as Rouf, Yakshagana, Mayurbhanj Chhau, and Kalbeliya.
The event drew to a close with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all guests, parents, authorities, and the dedicated support team behind the scenes.
